It's possible that the website is infected and avast! blocked it. This happens when the antivirus detects bad content that tries to infect your computer. Just access settings and select Exclusions if you are positively sure the website is safe. Add the website in http://URL.com form and then refresh it and it will load normally.
The "move to chest" option an antivirus gives you, means that the program will move the infected or suspected file to an area where it can't interact with other files or operating system until you have more information as to what it really is and decide if you wish to delete or restore it.
Try uninstalling the application and then installing it again. This should fix it. Or you could leave it this way and you'll see that at some point the antivirus will auto-update.
You can perform a repair of the application using its uninstaller. You can activate its uninstaller from the Start menu under the Avast folder. Instead of uninstalling, choose Repair and your antivirus will be fixed.

Open Avast! and in the Summary tab, Current Status there will be "Your Avast! will be out of date in ------", or "Your Avast! is out of date" written. Click "Register Now" beside it and a screen will appear. Follow the steps as you did when you registered after installing. Go to Maintenance, and registraion, and you'll find REGISTER written, click it. Enjoy!!
You can use aVast uninstaller utility to remove the application. Download and run the utility and let it finish. Restart the computer then download a new version.

Yes, why wont it? And avast is free.
Last days Avast worked fine, but now it is not working anymore. What can I do?
it is because your key was fake or you failed to update it.
